Artist’s Statement

I was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1958 to a US service man from Maui. My mother’s family had escaped the H-bomb due to my grandmother having a premonition and keeping the kids home that day.

 

Being a US military brat, I grew up all over the U.S. and overseas. I’ve called California home since 1977, but the island of Maui is calling me.

 

I love being creative and making stuff. All kinds of stuff.
