About the Artist

Leslie Lambert creates drawings and paintings of the human figure from life and does so regularly at various locations in the area where there is a model for that purpose. Her intention is to incorporate the mood, the gesture, the mystery and the beautiful symmetry of the human form into fine art that tells us who we are, or maybe makes us question and wonder. “So much goes on in my mind and heart that others don’t know and I try to present the viewer a window into their own unique, quirky, beautiful, complex selves.” Over the years the materials she uses have progressed from conté crayon, charcoal, graphite and colored pencil to incorporating ink, watercolor, acrylic, image transfers, collage.
