About the Artist

Patty Sharkey is a painter, writer, producer and creative design entrepreneur working in Southern California. She began painting to eliminate writer’s block.  Her paintings caught the eyes of friends and soon she was filling commission requests. Quickly her paintings becameknown as “Sharkeys.”

She describes her work as silly with an edge. Each painting is a story told in a few chosen words. She created Patty Kake Kards and Patty Kake Klothes in response to requests for greeting cards and T-Shirts.

She has produced two films, Mistress Nicotine and Homeless Joe. She is presently  working on exhibits in Costa Mesa and Hollywood, CA.  Sharkey lives in Orange County, CA.
